Caracal holds more than 140 years, an exceptional theatrical dowry, on the one hand the existence of an imposing edifice - National Theatre - on the other by the ceaseless activity that known bands, professional or amateur actors have susţinut- one, along the time.

There is currently an ongoing concern to discover new talents in the generous space of the theater (interpretation, directing or scenography) and short film.

Wide why we are launching a challenge for young people who are inclined and love for theater and film festival by organizing youth theater and film "Festin".

We target high school students in classes IX - XII of the normal schools, vocational and arts schools and teachers who guide them and encourage them to feelings and artistic events.

Edition, this year the festival will take place in two sections: short film and theater.

In section Theatre repertoire is selected (or universal texts of Romanian drama, classical or contemporary pieces, dramatizations). They are admitted and their texts.

Depending on the idea of ​​the director and designer, the show can take place in any space, choosing the band, with or without decorations, but respecting the unity of the show (stage as a space game alone or scene as a play space and public space and / or foyer). The shows take place in the National Theatre Hall Caracal.

It can be approached any kind belonging theater comedy delle arts, classical, romantic, surreal, naturalist, expressionist "absurd" theater dance, theater sports, show movement / pantomime, music hall, children's theater, puppet theater.

Innovative creative ideas promoted through spectacle (text, directing, stage design, interpretation, soundtrack) for the enhancement of its troops an advantage in the tie to the competition.

Note: Not allowed brigade artistic genre or group texts satirical couplets, jokes, trivia.

Each institution will present one show within 30 minutes. Also, each institution may participate with individual interpreters that can perform a recital (monologue, poetry or prose collage dramatized) within 10 minutes.

They will be admitted shorts lasting between 5-15 minutes (fiction, documentary, essay), in DVD format. It will not necessarily be appreciated technical performance but, above all, creativity, inventiveness, originality.

Preselection theater companies, performers of individual short films will be as follows:

- The section Theatre - on a record (not necessarily in terms of performance, may be a fragment) that will be sent on CD or via e-mail;

- For short film section will be sent for preselection full movie on DVD or via e-mail.

Deadline for submission of entries is 1 June 2016.

Theater troupes, individual performers and shorts allowed / accepted following the preselection will enter the competition by allocating organizers. Selection results will be communicated in advance to the participants.

The festival will be organized: theater workshop, where they will work a theme of improvisation once and studio film, within which work on a specific subject, the technique of writing a short film script, techniques filming and writing a screenplay for a film for 3-5 minutes, which is conducted with participants in workshops and be designed in final gala.

The two workshops will be coordinated by specialists.

The theater group that will promote, in a most original show in the competition (in a different manner to the promotion made by the organizers), following the monitoring of the organizers, will receive a special mention. This idea aims to develop students' cultural marketing capabilities.

In addition to the application form for the contest of the show, the participating companies are asked to submit posters and booklet containing the text data played, to choose that text, data about student actors, photos show.

The participating institutions can submit their theater, school or town through a video ad that will air before the film begins.

Findings of artistic productions will be based on the following criteria: ability to interpret, understanding the situations and roles interpreted cohesion band atmosphere created by the band on stage, fluidity, drive performance, text chosen ideas directors, screenplays, stage design, image, sound track.

The jury made up of actors, teachers, critics, journalists will make nominations and award diplomas and prizes for sections theater and short film and reserves the right to adjust awards by productions presented.

The organizers will provide accommodation and meals competitors. Theater troupes should not depăşeacă a total of 12 people, including accompanying teacher / coordinator / driver as appropriate. Troops participating exceeding the number of people forced organizers will bear the costs.
