2016 marks 520 years since the first mention of the county by decree issued on August 1, 1496 by Prince Radu cel Mare chancellery.

Between 25 to 31 July 2016 in Caracal operates 520 Romanaţi camp painting, cultural activity that is part of the activities to recall the existence of a county which represented a milestone for all romanaţenii soul who disappeared unfairly map of Romania.

The camp will participate in a total of 10 professional artists members of the Artists Union of Romania. The final exhibition of the camp will be held in the hall of the National Theatre in Caracal, Saturday, July 30, 2016, 10:00.
